SEVEN HILLS STATION CANOPY

Scope comprised fabrication and installation of a shelter canopy over the railway station’s central platform, underground substructures and service connections. The canopy was fabricated and partially pre-assembled off-site at the Regents Park Workshop of Abergeldie Structural Fabrications to minimise the duration of disruption to customer’s normal access to the station platform. Most works were carried out while the station remained open to customers, but some elements of scope could only be completed during weekend rail possession periods. Rail safe working requirements were strictly observed, with a rail Protection Officer in attendance for all on-site works.
