ST MARYS WASTEWATER SYSTEM

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Abergeldie was engaged to design and construct upgrades and extensions to the wastewater reticulation network at St Marys to increase capacity to serve anticipated industrial and residential growth in the district. The works were undertaken in the Penrith valley of Western Sydney and a stretch across three local government areas: Penrith City Council, Blacktown Council and Fairfield City Council.

Works comprised of design, construction testing and commissioning of:

  • New sewage pumping station, SPS1184
  • emergency storage for the pump station to meet NSW EPA sewage systemlicence requirements
  • Construction of 4.2 km of pressure main pipeline comprising of trenchless, mircrotunnelling (including 300m beneath the M4 motorway) and open trench construction.
