Project Description:

Secondary Treatment Facility Augmentation
Upgrade of secondary treatment facilities including three clarifiers, RAS pumping stations, anoxic tanks, level control structure, MCC building, pipelines, methanol dosing facility, MLR pumping stations, bioreactor modifications, access roads and associated works.

Complex Challenges:

A precast aqueduct was redesigned as an in-situ structure as it was not possible to mobilise the required crane due to the location of existing services. Special environmental control measures were required to protect the habitat of an endangered fauna species in the vicinity of the site.
