Project description:

Significant upgrading of existing commuter station facilities to achieve DDA disabled access compliance. The railway line and station remained fully operational throughout the works, which included demolition and reconstruction of the footbridge, stairs, ramps and installation of lifts.

Complex Challenges:

Provision of temporary arrangements for continuous public access to the station platforms. Working above and beside a live rail corridor required rigorous attention to safe work methods and close liaison with rail authorities.
