KINCUMBER AND WOY WOY STP DEWATERING FACILITIES

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Design and construction of new dewatering facilities, including building structures, truck loading bay, conveyors and load out bins, electrical, balance tank and filtrate pump station, pipe systems, polymer system and steelwork.

Complex Challenges:

The design provided by the client was incomplete, requiring Abergeldie’s in-house design team to develop the system concept further and confirm the client’s agreement to a detailed layout for the new plant.

Works were carried out on a brownfield site adjacent to operating systems, requiring close attention to safe work methods and careful scheduling of work and cut-ins to prevent interruption to continuous plant operation. Scheduling was optimised to complete before the contracted completion date, earning a bonus from the client.
